The company was also chosen for the MILA Pacific Alliance Select for the sixth year in a row.

Santiago, December 12, 2023. SAAM has once again been selected for the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Chile (DJSI Chile) and the MILA Pacific Alliance Select, which measure corporate sustainability performance in three dimensions: environmental, social and governance (ESG).

“We have been part of the Chile index for eight years and the MILA for six, which implies a concerted effort and a commitment to transparency towards our stakeholders. Reporting allows us to measure our progress and identify challenges with respect to sustainability, an area we strive to develop organization-wide,” said CEO Macario Valdés.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index was launched in 1999 and is currently one of the most important indicators in the world for measuring leading companies in sustainability. The Chilean version of the index was created in 2015. SAAM stands out as the only organization from the transportation industry.

In similar fashion, the MILA Pacific Alliance Select Index is designed to measure the sustainability performance of the largest companies in the Pacific Alliance region (Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico).
