Guayaquil, July 22, 2016. A delegation from “Sociedad de Fomento Fabril” (SOFOFA, for its name in Spanish) (Chile’s Manufacturer’s Association), headed by its Chairman, Hermann Von Mühlenbrock, visited Terminal Portuario de Guayaquil (TPG) facilities, port operated by SAAM since 2006.
The activity was included as part of an official visit to Ecuador aimed at promoting commercial exchange between both countries, as well as to participate in entrepreneurial meetings. Executives and authorities who visited TPG, among them the Chilean Ambassador to Ecuador Gabriel Ascencio, were able to learn in the field the characteristics and advantages of that terminal for the export and import of products, as well as to explore in further detail the various operations carried out by the port.
“The visit of the Ambassador, SOFOFA executives, and of our entrepreneurial friends in Ecuador, was very important to exchange experiences and get them to know the advantages we offer. We are a port that specializes in containers, and we are starting the wharf’s expansion works that will enable us, together with our great team of human talent, to continue being a significant and real contribution to Ecuador’s foreign trade,” stated TPG Chief Executive, Enrique Brito.
