San Antonio, October 24, 2018. A delegation of SAAM investors visited San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI) this morning to enjoy a guided tour of the port’s yards and cranes led by STI’s General Manager, José Iribarren.

The guests also saw the tugs operated by SAAM in the area. Felipe Rioja, Managing Director of SAAM’s Towage Division, highlighted the technological change in the Company’s tug fleet, which has incorporated over 30 azimuth units in recent years.

Fernando Encinas, Manager of SAAM’s subsidiary Logística Chile, spoke about the Company’s bonded warehouses operations. SAAM is a leader in this market, particularly because of its triangle of influence between the ports of San Antonio and Valparaíso and bonded warehouses connected to Renca.

“We chose San Antonio for this first event since it is the country’s largest port and the most efficient on the East Coast. This is not only because of the infrastructure we have, but the length of our dock and number of cranes and machinery. Our employees are also highly specialized,” remarked SAAM’s Chief Executive Officer, Macario Valdés.
