For the second consecutive year, the Company loaned land for the installation of the “Los Maluenda” circus, thanks to an agreement with the Municipality of Valparaiso.

Santiago, September 1, 2016. Jorge Castro, Mayor of Valparaiso, officially presented today September’s calendar of activities for the city, which includes the “Los Maluenda” circus, which will be set up in the “Nudo Baron” sector, thanks to an agreement between the Municipality of Valparaiso and SAAM.

“There are more than 30 activities beginning this week for a great family celebration of our Independence Day – September 18. We start this coming Sunday with the celebration of “el Huaso Chileno” (‘typical Chilean cowboy’), continuing with “Bulevar del Barrio Puerto” (‘port district boulevard’). We will also have double functions of the circus on the land that SAAM once again lent us for this date. We will have sports and myriad activities for adults and children to enjoy, as a family, these Independence Day festivities in our Port City. Therefore, you are all invited to spend the month of September with us,” stated the Mayor.

SAAM’s Real Estate Manager, Miguel Tortello Schuwirth, highlighted the value of the agreement. “For the second consecutive year, we sealed this public-private alliance between the Municipality and SAAM, so that the whole port community, and particularly our neighbors in the area of Baron, may enjoy these festivities and, together, support this valuable Chilean tradition, namely, the circus” he stated.

He added that arrangements are being made with the organizers in order for them to take the necessary measures to have all required safeguards, including a fence, 24-hour surveillance, removal of waste and installation of hygienic services and sanitary facilities.”

SAAM is a Chilean multinational company, with 55 years of experience and more than 10,000 workers. It is present in 15 countries of the Americas, through port, towage and logistics operations.
