Corral, September 15, 2016. Within the framework of the celebrations of the recent opening of the new stadium El Boldo, Copa Portuaria Corral took place with a preliminary match between junior team “Corral Unido Football School” and “Carboneros”.
In the main match, ‘Deportes Valdivia’ confronted ‘Selección de Corral’ at the new sports enclosure, which has an area of 7,133 square meters, including a 4,606- meter synthetic grass field, 2,400 meters of stands and other facilities, plus 650 meters for a plaza inside the enclosure
Diego Sprenger, Portuaria Corral’s General Manager stated that “we consider very important to support activities that encourage a healthy life and sports within our community. We believe that spaces like this one, with a stadium of this nature, in which our community may meet for a sports activity, are very positive.”
The visit to the city of Valdivia’s “Torreón” was managed by Portuaria Corral, who also renewed its sponsorship of the club for another year. Signing of this commitment took place at the port, with the presence of port workers, its General Manager Diego Sprenger and the General Manager of ‘Deportes Valdivia’, Martín Tupper.
Tupper, stated that Portuaria Corral’s contribution was very valuable and indicated that “the signature of this agreement is an essential contribution for the team, as it has been very difficult for us to obtain support from the local industry. We value Portuaria’s commitment with the club and hope to increasingly strengthen this bond.”
He added that with the signing of this agreement “several objectives are met, such as linking the club with the various communities of the region in order to generate an identity outside the city of Valdivia.”
